Charter of Rights

The Federal Govt is still considering introducing a charter of rights and is under a lot of pressure to do so.

Saltshakers says in their April newsletter that people cannot afford to go asleep on this one.

Action: Saltshakers asks people to write to their federal MPs and 12 State senators. They ask also that people write to Kevin Rudd, Tony Abbott and Warren Truss. Tell them you oppose the Charter of Rights and ask them not to implement the recommendations by the National Consultation on Human Rights. Letters can be sent to Parliament House, Canberra, ACT, 2600.
