Sex Party

The Australian Sex Party is making it clear that it will be running an anti-Christian campaign which has little do with sex at the upcoming Federal election. It says it wants to ditch censorship laws, make abortion legal around Australia, introduce a national sex education scheme into schools, hold an inquiry into paedophile priests, introduce homosexual marriage and get rid of tax concessions for religious organisations. The party is calling for candidates and volunteers to fight the 30 most marginal seats in Australia.

Gillard PM

Saltshakers says that with Gillard as PM we can expect considerable social engineering towards an even more ‘tolerant’, socially destructive Australia. They say it is vital that Christians understand who they are voting for. The Australian Christian Lobby said in its June 24 e-news that the ACL would be expecting Labor under Ms Gillard to confirm its concern for the poor and the disadvantaged, as well as the values in society that proved attractive to many Christians throughout Australia under Mr Rudd.

Action: Saltshakers asks people in this new circumstance to pray for the nation.
