Muslim Teaching

The Sunday Mail (July 11, 2010) reports that every Australian school student would be taught positive things about Islam and Muslims and that Australia was a racist country, under a plan being proposed by an education think tank. The plan is outlined in a booklet “Learning From One Another: Bringing Muslim Perspectives into Australian Schools” written by Eeqbal Hassim and Jennet Cole-Adams and published this week by the Australian Curriculum Studies Association and The University of Melbourne’s Centre for Excellence in Islamic Studies. The booklet is also sponsored by the Myer Foundation.
