Tassie Same-Sex Push

Saltshakers reports that in the past week just three members of the Tasmanian Parliament’s House of Assembly opposed a Bill to allow Tasmania to recognise same-sex ‘marriages’ preformed overseas. They were Rene Hidding, Michael Ferguson and Jacquie Petrusma. The bill will now go to the Legislative Council. Saltshakers says the current bill, The Relationships Amendment (Recognition of Registered Relationships) Bill 2010, shows the incremental nature of changes relating to homosexual ‘rights’.
