Say No 4 Kids

In October, a total of 18,889 petition signatures were delivered in a Say No 4 Kids meeting with Federal Minister for Home Affairs, Brendan O’Connor. Say No 4 Kids is calling on all major supermarket and service station chains selling Category 1, Unrestricted or other highly sexualised men’s magazines to reflect the growing community concern and lead the way by removing these publications from sale unless they can be relocated away from children.

Tasmania’s Attorney General Lara Giddings has launched “A charter of human rights and responsibilities for Tasmania.” It includes a model charter and consultation questions.

Free to Believe

The United Nations is expected to deal with a resolution that will provide international legitimacy to national laws that punish blasphemy or otherwise ban criticism of a religion.

Action: Open Doors, Christian Media and the Australian Christian Lobby are asking people to show their face and sign a Free to Believe petition to defeat the resolution that condones state-sponsored persecution of Christians.
