Drinking Patterns

A report by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare “Drinking patterns in Australia, 2001-2007” showed that alcohol consumption by young under legal aged people (14-17 years) has slightly declined from 66% in 2001 to 62% in 2007. One in five Australian females aged 14 years and over said they had abstained from drinking alcohol in the previous 12 months compared to one in seven among men.
