Euthanasia for children and dementia patients in Belgium

The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition warns in its Jan 2013 Newsletter that a group of legislators in Belgium announced their intention to widen access to euthanasia. They will seek to extend euthanasia to children and to people with dementia or Alzheimers. The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition is organising a meeting on Feb 18/19 in Europe to establish EPC in Europe.

Also in Belgium, on Dec 14, 2012 identical twins who were born deaf died by euthanasia at the Belgium University Hospital in Jette, even though they were not sick, they were not yet blind, and they had lived a productive life together. They died by lethal injection. For response by the EPC click here.
