Is there a God? Panel

Atheist author Peter FitzSimons, christian speaker Ian Powell and a representative of a 3rd worldview will have a Q&A style panel on the question: is there a God?. It is organised by the City Bible Forum and will be held 1-1.45pm, Thur 23 Feb at the Wesley Uniting Church, cnr Hay and William streets in Perth. The City Bible Forum meets every thursday lunchtime. Virtual Library

Bible League International has joined with Digital Bible Society (DBS) to create a virtual Christian library with multiple free Bible versions and translations and hundreds of hours of audio and video materials, all on a DVD or other digital storage device. “It’s like a miniature Christian bookstore,” said Robert T. Bible Reading

Churches in El Salvador have been divided after the Govt passed Decreto 411 in July, making it mandatory that schools begin each day with seven minutes of Bible reading as a way to try to counter the violence in the country. However there are concerns that Catholics and Protestants could pick their texts in their respective favour and concern about proselytism.
