Russian Evangelism

New legislation in Russia will make evangelism in the country nearly impossible reports the Slavic Gospel Association. Only religious groups that are registered in Russia for at least 15 years will be allowed to engage in mission work.  Foreigners on a temporary visa would not be permitted to evangelise.

MarketPlace Connect

Lunchtime prayer groups are being set up in workplaces across WA in a ministry designed to transform Perth from a secular city to a city of God through marketplace ministry in all areas of society. The aim is to set up a prayer group in every floor of the Woodside building. Thus far 4 of the 16 floors have prayer groups. They pray for their colleagues, supervisors, managers, directions and business. A prayer group has also started at Transfield-Worley and with God’s blessing it is hoped that Shell, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and many other businesses will be transformed to become a blessing to society and bring glory to God.

For more on how this works see the program from a seminar that was held on this ministry in May (11MB): http://marketplaceconnect.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/market-place-seminar-2may-notes.pdf
Look at page 4 of the PDF program for their vision and approach to carrying out this ministry or visit www.marketplaceconnect.com.au
