Help ARPA

The Association for Reformed Political Action is seeking interested people within the Free Reformed Churches to assist in developing a series of policy statements. These statements will provide the framework when ARPA tackles various issues. Initially, work is being done in the areas of human rights, prostitution, immigration/multicultural affairs, church/state relations, euthanasia and homosexuality. If any of these areas are of interest to you, or if you have material that might assist in developing these statements please email apra@frca.org.au

Evangelism Convention

About 60 people from the across the WA Free Reformed Churches attended the Evangelism Convention on June 6 at the Free Reformed Church of Southern River. The theme was “Volunteering”. The convention provided the opportunity to hear what various churches were doing in their community such as organised singing groups which go out to sing and speak to old people, prison fellowship, providing food and fund raising for local charities. Also present were a number of volunteer groups. Keynote speaker Ron Bergsma spoke on 1 Corinthians 9: 19-23.
“Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law.”
