Bolt Standoff

Andrew Bolt resumed normal work after a day of refusing to write about politics in what Mumbrella said appeared to be a standoff with the company. Before resuming his work Bolt wrote on this blog: “After discussions, I now feel free to speak my mind. So I shall. In tomorrow’s column. I apologise for the mysteriousness, but I did not want to act in anger or before matters had been resolved. I had to be fair to my employer and to my readers, and I apologise if you think I’ve had the balance wrong over the past 24 hours. Thank you to everyone who has rung, emailed or commented on this post, here and on radio.” For story: http://mumbrella.com.au/andrew-bolt-gets-back-to-politics-56088

Anderson Dinner

About 95 people attended the Perth FamilyVoice fundraising dinner on August 26, 2010 where former deputy Prime Minister John Anderson spoke about his faith and the challenges faced by Australia as it deals with the loss of its Christian framework. Mr Anderson encouraged people to become involved in the political environment. He said decisions about the future of Australia were made by those that turn up at meetings. Giving his vote of thanks at the end of the evening, Southern River MLA Peter Abetz called for support from Christians in the form of encouragement and prayer.
